Paint Polka Dots on Nails
Solid-color nails can become a boring look after a while. Instead of sticking with a base coat on your nails, you can paint intricate designs on them such as polka dots. When you paint polka dots on your nails, you can add multiple colors to match your outfit or base coat. Painting polka dots will take a steady hand, but it will be well worth the wait and effort to have glamorous fingernails.
Instructions
1. Put a base coat of nail polish on your nails. Select a color that will not blend in with the dots. You can simply put on a clear coat of fingernail polish if you desire.
2. Shake the nail polish you plan to use for the dots. Place a dime-sized circle of the nail polish on a paper plate or a piece of cardboard.
3. Dip the end of a toothpick into the nail polish. The more nail polish you add to the toothpick, the larger the dots will appear. Carefully touch the end of the toothpick onto your nail to create a dot. Apply more nail polish to the toothpick for each dot.
4. Allow the dots to dry completely. Add more dots to your nails in a different color if you desire. Once the nail polish dries completely, add a fine layer of clear top coat over the dots.
