Bows can be used to decorate any number of things.
Large bows can be used to decorate everything from packages to stair rails to wall sconces. Almost anything you can think of can be decorated with a bow. They are not difficult to make, and can be created in different colors and styles to fit any occasion or holiday.
Instructions
1. Form a 9-inch loop. If you want a larger bow, create a larger loop. The size of the loop is equal to the finished bow diameter.
2. Wrap the rest of the length of ribbon around the original loop. The number of times you wrap around the original loop is the number of loops you will have in the finished bow.
3. Flatten the loops.
4. Cut off the corners on either end. Do not cut too closely to the center.
5. Bring the two ends to the middle of the ribbon. Overlap the triangles a little bit.
6. Wrap a wire around the middle of the ribbon, where the two sides overlap.
7. Pull the loops out and fluff them up. Pull the loops toward the center, alternating which sides you put them on, to create a large pompom bow.
8. Attach the bow with wire or extra ribbon to your item to be decorated.
