Change your nail color to match your mood.
If your natural nails are not as long as your would like, acrylic nails may be able to provide you with the long nails that you desire. Acrylic nails hold nail color much better than natural nails. There is less chipping, and it is easier to get a smooth, continuous coat of color. After leaving the nail salon, you may find it necessary or desirable to change the color of your manicure. It is possible to do this at home, though certain precautions must be taken.
Instructions
1. Use a moisturizing hand soap, warm water and a nail brush to gently clean any dirt from the top and underside of your nails.
2. Use a non-acetone nail polish remover and clean gauze to clear the current nail color from your nails. Your polish remover must be free of acetone, as this chemical will eat away at the glue and surface of acrylic nails.
3. Wipe your nails dry and then polish them using your selected brand and color of polish. Wait until the first coat has dried completely and then apply a second coat.
4. Brush on a clear top coat to produce shine to your nails.
