Think about your future spouse, yourself and what is significant to your relationship. Anything can be a fairytale, whether it is a Disney theme or a love story. Remember as you plan your fairytale themed wedding to pay attention to the details both small--like the invitation style--and large--like the wedding dress. These things will work together to create your fairytale wedding theme.
Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet is one of the most well-known love stories of all time. According to Wedding Themes and More, creating your Romeo and Juliet fairytale-themed wedding is easy. Send invitations on parchment paper that are either handwritten or printed in calligraphy. Have the men wear open peasant shirts and vests, while the bride should wear a dress with a laced bodice and a flowing skirt. Swap out traditional centerpieces for baskets filled with loafs of bread and give out bookmarks with your favorite Shakespeare or love poems on them. Spice up the altar with a trellis decorated in greenery and white twinkling lights. Light candles to decorate and set a romantic atmosphere.
Cinderella

Hire a horse-drawn carriage for your transportation after the ceremony or reception. Decorate using roses, pearls, ribbon and bows. Hire an orchestra or harpist to play your wedding music. The groom should wear a classic black tuxedo and the bride should wear a bell shaped gown with a pearl necklace or a heart-shaped necklace. Decorate the backs of chairs with white tulle and use mini castles or mini horse-drawn carriages as centerpieces. For an added touch, place a few ice sculptures of castles or horse-drawn carriages around the room.
Lady and the Tramp
Lady and the Tramp-themed weddings work well for dog lovers and small weddings. The Lady and the Tramp wedding theme focuses a lot around an Italian theme. The most memorable scene in the movie is, after all, the Italian restaurant scene. According to Wedding Themes and More, to create this theme, set up the reception like an intimate Italian restaurant or better yet, have the reception at an Italian restaurant. To decorate, use red checkered tablecloths, empty wine bottles with a single flower in them for the centerpieces and use smaller tables, so that there are only four people to a table for the intimate feel. Serve an Italian menu. If you have or know of someone who has well-behaved dogs, include them in your wedding party as the ring bearer or flower girl. For favors, pass out favor bags with dog-bone-shaped cookies or make guests dog tags engraved with a saying or the date of your wedding.
