Hair clips and bows don't have to sit in a disorganized pile on your daughter's dresser. With just a little creativity, you can make a unique hair clip holder that not only organizes your daughter's hair clips but also complements her room decor.
Instructions
1. Plan a design for the wood letter and shapes. You could, for example, paint stripes or polka dots on the letter and shapes you have chosen. Choose craft paint colors that will complement your daughter's room decor.
2. Prepare the unfinished wood letter and shapes for painting by gently sanding the surface over newspaper. Remove any sawdust.
3. Lay out a fresh layer of newspapers then paint the design onto the wood letter and shapes. Be sure to paint the edges in addition to the front surface of the letter and shapes. This will give your project a finished look. Allow the painted letter and shapes to completely dry before moving on to the next step.
4. Use craft glue to attach one end of each ribbon to the back of the letter. Glue the other end of each ribbon to the back of one of each shape. All the glue to dry completely before hanging on the wall.
5. Attach hair clips, bows and barrettes to the ribbons.
