Instructions
1. Heat your HerStyler product. Whether you are using a curling iron or flat iron, you will need to heat the appliance for a period of time. Plug the iron into an electrical socket away from any wet or flammable surfaces. Set the temperature control setting to low, medium, or high depending on your hair type. You should allow the appliance to heat for about 30 seconds.
2. Prepare your hair. While your iron is heating, prepare your hair by applying a heat protectant of your choice to your hair, working it through the strands from root to tip. Your hair should not be greasy or oily after application. Read the directions of your heat protectant to determine how much to apply; the usual amount is dime-sized.
3. Section your hair. Part your hair with a rattail comb and section off a piece. Pull back the rest of your hair with a banana comb or regular hair bow.
4. Pass the HerStyler iron over the selected section of hair. Once you have prepared your hair and the iron is ready to use, briefly comb through the section of hair and steadily pass the iron through it; don't hesitate or go too slowly. Only pass the iron through the same section of hair once or twice to prevent frying your hair.
5. Curl the selected section of hair with the HerStyler iron. If you are using a curling iron, pass the iron over the hair and roll it around the barrel of the iron. Leave the hair wrapped around the iron for about 15 seconds, before gently releasing the grip.
6. Section another piece of hair to be straightened or curled. Your HerStyler iron will retain its heat while being used. And, the ceramic plates of the HerStyler will help protect and nourish your hair, reducing frizz and creating a shiny, silky look.
