Homemade hair bows have many benefits over purchasing pre-made bows in stores or online. Firstly, they are very cost effective and demand only a few supplies. Making the bows yourself also enables you to customize everything about the bow, from the shape to the size to the color. Making a flower hair bow does not require complicated ribbon folding and sewing methods.
Instructions
1. Draw 10 raindrop shaped petals on a sheet of felt in the color of your choice with a fine-tip marker. Each petal should be at least an inch and a half tall. Cut the petal shapes out with scissors.
2. Arrange the petals in a circle formation, overlapping each other with the points pointed outward. Use hot glue to carefully attach the petals once the formation is to your liking. Once the glue has dried, use your fingers to bend and manipulate the ends of the petals so that they appear lifelike instead of flat.
3. Hot glue a small jewel in the very center of the petal formation. Add a drop of hot glue to the top of a silver hair clip and press the flower over it firmly.
