Ribbon comes in a variety of sizes, colors and designs.
If you have a little girl, chances are you are overwhelmed with hairbows and you need a better way to organize them. A hairbow holder is the perfect way to do this to keep them all in one place and it is easy to make one yourself. You can use your little girl's favorite colors or color-coordinate it to match her room.
Instructions
1. Paint the front and sides of the canvas. Let it dry completely. You could also cover the canvas with a piece of fabric instead of painting it. Lay the fabric on the canvas. Fold the edges of the fabric to the back of the canvas and staple it in place.
2. Cut the ribbons an inch or two longer at each end than the length of your canvas to allow for attaching them. The number of ribbons you need depends on how you choose to lay them out on your board.
3. Lay the ribbons out on your canvas to decide how you want your hairbow holder to look. When you are satisfied with how it looks, remove the ribbons and set them aside but keep them in the correct order.
4. Start with the ribbon that goes in the middle and work your way out. Flip the canvas over and slide the ribbon underneath it. Double check that the ribbon is facing the right direction before you attach it.
5. Fold the top edge of the ribbon to the back of the canvas. Staple it in place. Do the same for the bottom of the ribbon.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all of your ribbons are securely attached. Flip the canvas over to look at your finished work and start placing bows on it.
