Create A Baby Hair Bow

Bows look so cute

Newborn babies look so cute with those little hair bows on top of their heads. Of course, anything for baby can be expensive to buy. When your budget is tighter than ever, like after the birth of a baby, why not make your own hair bows and save money. You may save enough to make a bow for each outfit. How do you make baby hair bows?

Instructions

1. Choose the color of ribbon to use for the baby hair bow and cut a 6-inch long piece.

2. Stick a straight pin through the center of the ribbon and into your pincushion, bar of soap, or something to hold it in place.

3. Tie a simple bow; make sure that you put the loop under and not over the top when tying the bow so that it will lie straight and flat. If you make your loop over, the bow will point up and down, instead of straight across.

4. Remove the straight pin.

5. Place a single stitch throw the center of the bow to hold it in place and tie a small knot on the back.

6. Place a drop of sugar water on the bow to stick it to baby's head, if baby does not have hair to attach a bow.
