Sexy hair can be the finishing touch to a sexy attitude, clothes and makeup. While Hollywood stylists make it seem like sexy hair is difficult and takes hours to achieve, it actually can be quite simple and can be accomplished in a short amount of time. The key to sexy hair isn't just in the style. It's also in your attitude, keeping your hair healthy and not being afraid to try something new.
Healthy Hair
Sexy hair begins with healthy hair. No matter how sexy the style, hair won't have that sexy look if it's dried out or frizzy. Regular trims and conditioning are a good start for healthy hair, but reducing stress on your hair is the best way to get and keep shiny, healthy locks. Color less often, deep condition regularly and reduce the use of damaging styling tools like blowdryers, curling irons and flat irons. Even if it's only one or two days a week, skip the blowdryer and curling irons and let your hair recover.
Style
Getting sexy hair can be as simple as making a change from your everyday look. If you normally wear your hair down, trying sweeping it up into a loose updo. If your usual look is an updo, leave it down and add some loose, sexy curls. Straighten normally curly hair, or add waves to straight hair. Even a small change can result in very sexy hair.
One important thing to remember is that sexy hair never looks perfectly coiffed. If every hair is in place, you've probably overstyled and crossed the line from sexy to stiff. Tousled, slightly messy and free-moving hair is sexy hair.
Color
It doesn't have to be a bold change, but adding a little color or a few highlights can quickly take your hair from average to sexy. Highlights that frame your face can draw attention to eyes and lips, and also give your sexy style a finished look. If you're feeling a little more adventerous, bold color can change your entire appearance and give you a matching bold new attitude. Be careful with color, however, and remember that it's easy to cross the line between sexy and over-the-top.
