If you like the image on a bottle cap, simply use that one.
Use bottle caps to add a bit of fun to a regular hair bow by placing and gluing a bottle cap in the middle of a ribbon bow. Put a personalized picture, design or initials on the bottle cap, to make your bow both unique and cute at the same time. Make your own at home, instead of purchasing them; homemade bottle cap bows can look like they came from a boutique. Bottle caps can be recycled from your home or bought at stores and online specifically for crafting.
Instructions
1. Place a bottle cap on a flat, sturdy surface and flatten with a mallet. The edges of the bottle cap should flare outwards. If they don't, pry them out carefully with pliers.
2. Cut out a 1-inch circle from scrapbook paper, a photo or a piece of fabric. This size circle will fit nicely into the bottle cap.
3. Rub glue in the middle of the bottle cap top. Place the circle in the middle and allow it to dry for 24 hours.
4. Paint a layer of decoupage glue over the top of the picture. Paint along the top of the bottle cap, as well. Allow it to dry, then add another coat.
5. Glue the bottle cap to the middle of the bow using the hot glue gun.
