Funky hair colors show your personality.
Hair styles, like fashion and makeup, allow people to show off their personality and their personal style. Most people stick to natural hair colors such as blond, brown, red, black and their differing hues. Some, though, like to experiment with their hair and try different styles and colors. Funky, non-traditional hair colors say a lot about a person's personality.
Pink
Pink hair is feminine yet funky. For a punk rock style go for a dark or hot pink color. For a softer, more girly look try a light cotton candy pink. Pink can also be used in highlights and lowlights. Pink highlights or lowlights go especially well with the various blond hues of hair color. For an edgier look, mix pink with purple or blue.
Blue
Blue is another funky hair color, but you have to choose the right one. A blue that's too light can look gray or can look like your body is deprived of oxygen. Dark navy blue may just look black. An electric royal blue is the way to go. If you don't want to dye all of your hair blue, try streaking it. For a funky look just dye the bangs blue. Blue goes well with other funky colors like purple, pink and green.
Two-Tone
Two-tone hair colors are funky. Try mixing colors like pink and orange, pink and blue, blue and green. If these colors are too wild for you, try a mix of black and blond, black and red or blond and red.
