Cheerleading outfits are not hard to make. You can make them from clothes in your own home or from simple materials. Create a skirt, tank top and pom poms in your very own home. If you have a sewing machine it will be even easier, but you can also make them with a regular sewing needle and thread. Learn make cheerleading outfits at home and show your spirit.
Instructions
1. Get a tight white t-shirt. Cut off the sleeves so that it turns into a tank top. Get some colored material such as red, green, or blue and cut the first letter of the name of your high school or college.
2. Sew the letter onto your new tank top in the place you want. Decorate the tank top with jewels, gems and shiny things. Glue them on or sew them into the tank top if possible.
3. Cut one of your longer skirts up to above the knee. Make pleats in the skirt by sewing the inside in waves. Make sure it is short like a cheerleaders skirt.
4. Get two wooden sticks, empty toilet paper rolls or some sort of rods. Cut any material (paper or fabric) into strips and make sure you cut approximately 50 for each rod. Cut them each about one inch thick and seven inches long.
5. Get all of the paper strips together and hold them at one end. Slip the sticks or rods in between all of the strips and get an elastic band. Wrap the elastic band to hold the strips in place. Now you have designed your pom poms.
6. Finish your cheerleader look with a megaphone. Roll a piece of construction paper or other sturdy paper into a cone shape, then staple or tape in place. Cut off the small pointed end and decorate with letters on the front.
