Different Children'S Halloween Outfits

Children's Halloween costumes can be homemade or store-bought.

Halloween is a season for ghosts, goblins, candy and most importantly, creative costumes. This holiday is a great occasion for kids to use their imagination and transform themselves into their favorite storybook or television characters. Costume possibilities are endless. With so many costume choices, kids can have a tough time deciding on just one costume. Fortunately for parents and kids, Halloween comes around every year, and children can select different costumes each time.

Princess

Little girls love dressing up as storybook princesses, with flowing gowns that sparkle along with a tiara, sparkly costume jewelery and makeup. This costume makes a girl feels like royalty. Pink, purple, yellow and powder blue are among the favorite colors of a princess dress.

Spider-Man

For boys that dream of scaling walls, swinging from buildings and capturing bad guys in their web, Spider-Man is the superhero costume to have. Spider-Man costumes typically include a red-and-blue jumpsuit with muscle torso along with matching hood complete with mesh eye inserts. Red boots and gloves complete the Spider-Man uniform.

Rock Star

A rock star costume is an easy-to-make costume for a boy or girl. To prepare for the stage spotlight, glue rhinestones or metal studs on a pair of torn or faded blue jeans. Apply iron-on letters to a white T-shirt with a phrase such as "Rock on!" Add a pair of sunglasses for coolness. For a female rock star, use a pair of black leggings matched with a ballerina skirt. Add a large hair bow and microphone to complete the look.

Jack-O'-Lantern

The costume that represents the Halloween spirit is a jack-o'-lantern costume. Pumpkin costumes are available online. An easy, do-it-yourself version can be made with cardboard. To make a pumpkin costume, use a large piece of cardboard and draw the front of the pumpkin on one piece and the back of it on the other piece. Cut out the pumpkin. Use acrylic paint to paint each side. Use ribbon to create a sandwich board for your child to wear. Add a green hat as the pumpkin stem, and the look is complete.
