Make Big Hair Bows
Hair bows are a beautiful way to add that special finishing touch to any little girl's outfit. Hair bows are sold everywhere; from boutique stores to department stores, you can find a wide variety of pretty colored bows for your little one's hair. If you've ever considered making your own hair bows, you may be surprised by how simple it is, using any colored, wide-width ribbon.
Instructions
1. Take two 16-inch pieces of wide-width ribbon.
2. Take the first piece and have the ends touch together in the middle. Sew a quick stitch to hold the ribbon ends in place.
3. Repeat this process with the other piece of ribbon.
4. Lay one of your new ribbon creations on top of the other at a slight angleto create an "X." Sew a few stitches in the middle to hold the pieces together.
5. Now take a 14-inch piece of wide-width ribbon. Create a bow and apply fray glue to the ends to prevent the ribbon from fraying.
6. Sew the new bow on top of the "X" bow with a few stitches through the center of the bows. Puff up the bow loops using your fingers.
7. Take the bow and hot glue it to a hair clip, or add korker ribbon or decorations to your hair bow. Allow it to cool for 12 hours.
