Keep Headbands From Sliding

Headbands make an attractive and fashionable statement, and are popular among children and women. Depending on the density of your hair and shape of your head, headbands can be difficult to keep on the head, particularly with fine or thin hair. Keeping a headband from slipping off is a simple task that does not require specialized skills as a hairstylist.

Instructions

1. Place the headband on your head and style your bangs or hair as you would like to wear it.

2. Gently spray your hair with a light dusting of hair spray around the perimeter of the headband.

3. Tuck a hairpin (you can purchase hairpins at any department, drug store, or supermarket) at the top center of your head, between your hair and the headband. Hairpins are now available in a multitude of colors to blend naturally into blond, brunette, and red hair.

4. Place an additional hairpin on each side of your head, just behind each ear. This will hold the headband in place until you are ready to remove it.
