Make a triple stack bow to accessorize your daughter's prettiest dress.
Boutique-style hair bows are as beautiful as they are expensive. Make your own homemade hair bows that are just as beautiful but cost a fraction of the boutique bows. Triple stacked bows are a classic hair bow sold in many boutique stores. With a little patience and practice, you can create triple stacked bows to mix and match with every outfit and occasion you desire.
Instructions
1. Cut the ribbon into three pieces, each 12-inches long. Light a candle. Hold each ribbon end near the flame to melt the frays and seal the ends. Measure and mark the center point of each ribbon with a pencil.
2. Lay one ribbon horizontally in front of you. Bring the right end up and around, without turning over, so the end just passes the center point. Glue this end in place on the center point with a small dab of glue with a hot glue gun. Bring the left end up and around, without turning over, so the end just passes the center point. Lay the left end over the right end. Glue the left end in place. Repeat the process with the two other ribbon pieces.
3. Stack the three ribbons, shaped like figure eights, on top of one another. Stitch the ribbons together at the center point. Cut a 2-inch piece of ribbon. Wrap this small piece around the center point of the three figure-eight ribbons. Glue the small ribbon in place, seam side down, with a hot glue gun.
4. Glue a small piece of ribbon to line a metal clip. Glue the triple stacked ribbons to the lined barrette.
