Decorate a grapevine wreath with satin bows.
Satin is a luxurious material that is soft to the touch and has a lustrous sheen, making it appealing to the eyes. If your interested in making an eye-catching craft, consider incorporating a satin bow to jazz up the look of the project you are making. Purchase satin ribbon and tie it into a bow or purchase pre-made bows to use for your projects.
Headband
Use a satin bow to create a decorative headband that is sure to make a statement. Purchase a plain headband and either a pre-made satin bow or satin ribbon. If you're using a pre-made bow, use hot glue to affix the bow to the center of the headband, or glue it a bit off center. If you're using a satin ribbon, hot glue one end of the ribbon to the end of the headband, wrap the headband with the ribbon and hot glue it to the other end of the headband. Cut a piece of the ribbon, tie it in a bow and hot glue it to the center or the side of the headband.
Keepsake Box
Make a keepsake box that features a satin ribbon. Paint or stain an unfinished box with a lid any color you'd like. After the paint or finish dries, paint your name, the name of the person you are making the craft for, or simply "keepsakes" or "memories" on the front of the box. Glue a pre-made or hand-tied satin bow to the center of the lid of the box. The box can be used to store a variety of mementos.
Shoes
Add a bit of flare to a pair of shoes with satin bows. Purchase a pair of plain ballet flats or a pair or flip-flops. Cut a length of satin ribbon and tie it in a small bow; create two bows, one for each shoe. Use hot glue to attach the bow to the front of the ballet flats or to the top part of the flip-flop that goes between your toes.
Satin Bow Note Holder
Create a feminine note holder with a satin bow. Purchase a large, wide pre-made satin bow and affix it to a wall with pushpins, staples or a nail. Attach different colored plastic clothespins to the bow. The clothespins can be used to display notes and messages on the bow.
Satin Bow Wreath
Make a delicate wreath to display on your front door or in any room in your home using satin bows. Purchase a grapevine wreath form and several small pre-made satin bows; use same-colored or different-colored bows. Use hot glue to attach the satin bows around the perimeter of the wreath. For added interest, hang one large satin bow on the bottom of the wreath.
