Red hair worn in a bob requires less up-keep.
Celebrity hair is always shiny, healthy and full. Whether redhead, blond or brunette, achieving celebrity hairstyles and colors is possible with the right tools and hair care products. Long wavy hair of any color is a staple of celebrity hair as is the stick-straight look with either fringe or side swept bangs. Hair is usually layered to add fullness and bounce, and colored hair must be carefully maintained for optimal shine and hue. Celebrities also wear extensions to make hair appear longer and fuller.
Long Dark Straight/Slightly Wavy Hair
Long, sleek, or wavy hair in rich brown tones are popular celebrity hairstyles. Parts can be made in the middle or on the side, depending on preference. Long layers that frame the face accentuate this hairstyle; layers should be flat-ironed straight. Shine serum is applied to make hair appear sleek and shiny. Megan Fox is a good example of this type of hairstyle. Loose wavy long dark brown hair is also a favorite among celebrities including Vanessa Hudgens and Kim Kardashian. Hair can be allowed to air dry with a curling spray applied, or blown dry with a diffuser set on low. Curling spray can be applied to hair before blow drying for added waves and curls. Finger-comb to separate waves; use a large barrel curling iron to create additional waves, if necessary. Spray with a light mist of hairspray to hold the style.
Blond With Bangs
Blond hair worn straight with bangs, or loose waves with side-swept bangs are two popular celebrity looks. Blond hair looks best on those with naturally light colored hair; it can also be made lighter in the sun, or by professional bleaching. Hair can be bleached at home as well; perform a strand test to make sure hair can be bleached without falling out. Take care of blond hair that has been bleached using deep conditioners approximately every week. Blond, straight hair with bangs is a trademark of Reese Witherspoon. This style can be achieved with the use of a straightening iron and straightening hair product after being blow-dried using a paddle brush. Ask your stylist for longer, layered bangs that can be swept to the side and pinned with a pretty clip or headband. Soft waves add to this hairstyle and is often seen on celebrities like Carrie Underwood, and Ashley Tisdale.
Shorter Redhead Hairstyles
Whether natural or dyed, red hair is often a style itself. Longer curly or wavy red hair is often seen on celebrities such as Nicole Kidman and Lindsey Lohan. Medium to short red hair can be seen on television actresses like Alyson Hannigan and Marcia Cross. Kirsten Dunst made medium-length red hair popular as seen in the "Spiderman" movies. For this style, hair is layered in the front and worn straight; it is blown straight rather than flat-ironed to create volume and bounce. Red hair works best on those with fair skin and light colored eyes; however, it can compliment darker skin and eye color if the correct shade is used. Debra Messing made shorter, curly red hair popular on TV's 'Will & Grace' and Kate Walsh often wears her red hair in a sleek, straight bob.
