Learn make a convenient and inexpensive hair bow organizer.
If you have a hard time keeping track of your child's many hair bows, you and she can make a hanging display board for them. With the hair bows all in one place and hanging on a wall, they will not get lost or damaged and are easily accessible. Choose colors and designs that will complement the decor in your daughter's room. Arranging the components of the hair bow display board in a certain way makes it easy to hang all of your child's hair accessories.
Instructions
1. Paint the front and sides of a stretched canvas on a wooden frame that is anywhere between 2 and 4 feet wide or high. Use acrylic paint in whatever color you want as the background of the bow board and a sponge brush to avoid bristle streaks. Wait at least 40 minutes for the paint to dry.
2. Place a piece of ribbon diagonally across the canvas from one corner to the other and glue the ends of the ribbon over the edge of the frame with fabric glue. Repeat with a ribbon going diagonally from the opposite corners and glue the ends down. Do not glue the middles.
3. Cross ribbons diagonally across the front of the canvas to form a pattern of equal-sized diamond shapes. Glue the ribbons to the wood frames and wait 3 hours for the glue to dry. Trim excess length at the ends of the ribbons.
4. Stick tacks into the back of the wood frame on the top corners. Use the kind of tacks with the end that extends up from the surface. Wrap the ends of a piece of wire around the ends of the tacks and hang the board by the wire from a nail in the wall. Slip the hair bow barrettes and ribbons onto the ribbons on the board.
