Hair bows are cute on their own, but adding some extra bling to them at home can make your bow completely unique. You can bling out bows for any occasion, holiday, or event. It's a great way to customize your bow to match any outfit or accessory, and is really easy to accomplish. The key is to be very careful with the placement of your bling so that the bow looks neat and professionally made.
Instructions
1. Arrange a pile of small jewels or rhinestones in front of you so that they are all separated and are not stacking on top of each other. Determine how much bling you want to add to your bow. If you only want to line the outside edges or corners of the bow, only a few small rhinestones or jewels will be needed. But you can go as far as dotting the entire bow with them for extreme sparkle.
2. Hold the bow in place using your non-dominant hand. Apply a small dot of glue to the bow, carefully set the glue gun down, and use a pair of tweezers to grab a small jewel or rhinestone. Attach the jewel or rhinestone to the glue spot, using the tweezers to hold it down until it sets. Repeat until you have attached as many small jewels or rhinestones that you'd like.
3. Apply a slightly larger dollop of hot glue to the center of the bow. Use your fingers to pick up a larger jewel, rhinestone, or embellishment and gently place it over the glue. Do not press down with your finger, but instead use the end of the tweezers to push the charm down. Let the bow sit for about ten minutes before using.
