Make perfect bows that never droop or fall apart.
Perfect hair bows can be a little tricky to make. Even after you've made a great looking bow, over time--or just a few days if it's being worn by a toddler--the bow can begin to wilt and droop. Instead of making a new bow or trying to fix the drooping one, you can learn to sculpt the hair bow so it keeps its shape for a very long time. All you need are just a few materials to make perfect sculpture bows.
Instructions
1. Place the ribbon that you want to use for the hair bow on an ironing board.
2. Spray both sides of the ribbon with clothing starch.
3. Iron the ribbon so it's flat. Add more starch depending on how stiff you'd like the ribbon to be.
4. Tie the ribbon into a bow around a hair barrette or hair tie. Adjust the loops and tails of the bow so they are perfect.
5. Spray the hair bow with stiffening spray. Sculpt the bow until you're pleased with the way it looks.
6. Dry the hair bow using a hair dryer set on "Low" heat for a 20 to 30 seconds. Re-sculpt the bow as needed, then continue to dry the bow completely. This takes about one to two minutes.
