Make your child's bows non-slip.
One of the fun parts about having a little girl is being able to adorn her hair with clips and bows. However, it can be a hassle getting the clips to stay in because of the fineness of her hair. A practical remedy is to add your own non-slip grip to your daughters' clips and bows. This will hold the hair in place so that you don't lose the clips.
Instructions
1. Using your scissors, cut 4 1/2 inches from the ribbon.
2. Apply a small bead of glue from your hot glue gun to the center of this ribbon. Holding the ribbon horizontally, attach the glue on the ribbon to the center of your bow.
3. Cut a piece of ribbon that is 6 inches long using your scissors.
4. Hold this ribbon vertically in the center of the back of the bow and wrap around the bow, tying a knot in the front of the bow.
5. Using your scissors, trim off the tails of the ribbon. Place a small amount of glue on the edges and hold them down with your fingers until they adhere completely.
6. Apply a small line of hot glue along the horizontal ribbon on the back of the bow. Adhere the base of the alligator clip to this glue line.
7. Open the alligator clip and, using the hot glue gun, wrap and glue the ribbon around the alligator clip so that the rest of the ribbon covers the top of the clip.
8. Apply your 1 inch of velvet to the top of the alligator clip using the glue. This will create the non-slip surface.
9. Turn your bow around and fluff it.
