If you're looking for a cheap costume, Daisy Duke is the girl for you. Television's "Dukes of Hazzard" aired for a long time, and it is now considered a classic show. Daisy Duke was the smarter-than-average cousin of Bo and Luke Duke. She wore her cutoff jeans so short that short cutoff denim jeans are now called "Daisy Dukes."
Instructions
1. Cut off a pair of blue jeans with your scissors. Make them very short. In Daisy Duke's day, there were no low-rise jeans. Hers went just about up to the navel. Daisy Duke remakes, like Jessica Simpson and April Scott, wear their shorts even smaller. They have lots of naval area showing. Their costumes are also more loosely fitting around the hips and sometimes have a little cheek showing on the rump.
2. Put your long hair in hot rollers to create wavy "big hair" style typical of Daisy. Use hair spray and back-combing to make your hair look fluffier. When the style is done, seal it up with a final layer of hair spray.
3. Apply a glamor-girl glossy layer of lip gloss, blue eye shadow and mascara. Daisy duke always had a full face of makeup to go with her big bushy hair.
4. When you get dressed, tie the shirt snugly between your breasts. Daisy Duke had a large chest. If you are a man or small-chested, try stuffing a bra with balloons or tissue paper. You can customize their size to look as realistic or as silly as you want.
5. Put your high heeled shoes on. If you want to wear nylons to make your legs look smoother, make sure that the color doesn't contrast too much with your exposed navel skin. If it does, it will look goofy.
6. Get into the mood of Daisy Duke by chewing on a piece of straw. Wear your cowboy hat behind your head so that it doesn't mess up your hair.
