Testing Dinner Designing Ideas

A rehearsal dinner generally goes hand in hand with a wedding ceremony. These dinners are typically put on by the parents of the groom the evening before the wedding and can range from a simple backyard barbecue to an elegant sit down dinner. Regardless of the venue, there are some great decorating ideas that can be utilized to really mark the occasion and get all the guests excited for the celebratory event that is ahead of them.

Pictures

Pictures are an excellent choice to decorate a rehearsal dinner with. Different tables could have framed pictures of the soon-to-be-married couple, whether they be engagement shots or pictures from the time the couple started dating. There could also be pictures of the bride and groom from their childhood and adolescent years. The table where the bride's family sits could have different pictures of the bride growing up and pictures with various family members. The groom's family table could have pictures of the groom from his childhood and pictures with family members as well. Additionally, there could be pictures of the bridal party and the bride and groom at the table where they are to be seated. A great decoration that could double as a gift could be a blown up black and white photo of the engaged couple that the guests sign with well wishes as they enter the dinner.

Colors

A great way to decorate for a rehearsal dinner is to choose decorations similar to the color scheme of the wedding. This is certain to delight the bride as she probably chose colors she loves for her wedding day. If the colors are blue and yellow, for instance, use blue and yellow table cloths to cover the table. Tie blue and yellow balloons behind various seats, using several for where the bride and groom will sit. Additionally, have bouquets of blue and yellow flowers placed on different tables. Finally, use blue and yellow candles on the tables to finish the look.

Personalized Place Settings

Make the rehearsal dinner guests feel extra welcome by creating personalized place settings for each person. Purchase white or light-colored place mats and write each guest's name in fancy writing across the place mat. If the bridal party will be receiving personalized gifts such as monogrammed glasses, have the personalized glass at their place setting as well.
