Twist balloons together to create different shapes and parts of the body.
To make a party room appear festive, playful and colorful, include balloons, especially balloons with cartoon characters your child adores, such as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Many balloons in stores may only have a picture of the character's face on the balloon or may be shaped to the character's face. Add body parts to the balloon, such as arms, with a twisty balloon.
Instructions
1. Blow up a black twisty balloon for Minnie Mouse's arms. Leave a 6-inch flat tail at the end of the balloon and tie a knot at the open end.
2. Create a 1-inch wide bubble by twisting the balloon 1-inch in from the knot four times and hold the twist.
3. Create a 3-inch wide bubble from the twist you are holding and twist four times to close the other end of the bubble.
4. Bend the remaining balloon down against the 3-inch wide bubble and create another 3-inch wide bubble, twisting four times at the end.
5. Lock the two 3-inch wide bubbles together by twisting their end together until it stays in place.
6. Twist a 4-inch wide bubble from the last twist and hold the twist while twisting another 4-inch wide bubble.
7. Twist a 3-inch wide bubble and bend the remaining balloon down against it to form another 3-inch wide bubble and twist the end four times.
8. Lock the last two 3-inch wide bubbles together by twisting their ends together.
9. Twist a 1-inch wide bubble at the last twist and cut the remaining balloon with scissors to tie the balloon shut with a knot.
10. Tie the twist between the 4-inch wide bubbles to the end of the balloon head and your Minnie Mouse balloon has arms.
