in a School Uniform
School uniforms are traditionally conservative and plain, but they don't have to be boring. Their simplicity makes them easy to customize and show off your style and personality. Only a few extra minutes in the morning is all you need to dress fashionably in a school uniform.
Instructions
1. Go shopping, unless you're required to get your uniform through the school, the stores offer more possibilities. Look for different length sleeves and shorter or longer skirts. Uniforms typically must be certain colors but by shopping in stores you may find a slightly different shade.
2. Try out different silhouettes for effect. Pick out a flared skirt, cargo pants or boot cut pants for a trendy effect. Newer fashion looks for uniforms feature zippers, buttons and pockets.
3. Accessorize. Go with different color shoelaces or wear boots or heels when allowed. Colorful scarves, belts, ties and jewelry can make your uniform stand out. Striped tights and socks can jazz up any uniform.
4. Change your hair. Hairstyles usually offer a lot more freedom than school uniforms. Simply adding ribbons, hair bows or clips can edge up your look. Dying your hair, cutting or adding colorful extensions can help show off your style.
5. Apply makeup. Normally appropriate makeup is allowed, have fun by using glittery eye shadow and playful colors. Hair and body glitter can also update a boring fashion. Paint your nails in hues to match your school uniform.
6. Take advantage of outerwear. Most school code policies have no restrictions on outerwear. Use jackets, cute pockets and book bags to make sure your outfit is in fashion.
