Interesting Methods To Put on Hair

A brightly colored head of hair is definitely an attention-getter.

Hairstyles are a fun way to express your individuality. No matter what hairstyle you choose, it can always be combed out, washed out or grown out, making it an ideal way to experiment with fashion and break out of a rut, while keeping in step with changes in your mood or personality.

Many interesting hairstyles require a visit to a stylist or a beauty store for supplies.

Partially Shaved Head

A partially shaved head can work for both men and women. The stylist leaves most of the hair on the head intact, shaving only part of one side of the head above the ears. The longer the hair, the more striking and extreme this style is. For a less extreme look, the hair can be clipped short, but not shaved. People who want a usual hairstyle at work and something more daring after work can ask their stylist to shave the bottom part of the back of their head. The shaved part won't show unless the hair is worn in a ponytail.

Hair Stencils

Hair stencils create a look that is a head-turner. You can create your own hair stencils by cutting a design out of cardboard, holding it up to straightened hair and filling in the spaces with spray-on hair color. The possibilities of a stencil hairstyle are endless, as the designs are only limited to the imagination, and many color possibilities are available. Both men and women can use hair stencils. The more extreme form of hair stenciling is a razor cut, which gives similar, but more permanent results.

Spiked Hair

A spiked hairstyle creates a look that is either daring or extreme, depending on how long the hair is and how much it is spiked. People create spiked hair by applying wax to strips of hair and twisting the hair in the desired direction. Spiked hair has been around since Sid Vicious and continues to be worn by people of both genders who enjoy high fashion or the punk scene.

Hair Sticks

Hair sticks are a take-off on traditional chopsticks. Embellished with beads, metal and jewels, they are a striking accessory to add to a hairstyle. A bun is the traditional way to wear hair sticks, but a more unusual way to wear them is with a braid. Hair can be braided in two straight braids that hang in the back, with one hair stick stuck horizontally through the braids. You can wrap the braids around the first hair stick and use the second one to secure the hair. The result is a hairstyle that is both elegant and striking.
