Topsy Tails have been on the hair scene since the 1990s. Girls and women with long hair have put this unusual tool to good use for making ponytails with a special twist. Although you can create the style without using the Topsy Tail tool, it is much easier to create lovely hairstyles if you have the tool. Instructions
1. Spray your hair lightly with water from the spray bottle. Brush through your hair so that it is smooth and tangle-free.
2. Pull your hair back into a ponytail in the center lower half of the back of your head. Secure your hair tightly with the elastic hair band.
3. Insert the pointed end of the Topsy Tail down through the center of your ponytail, between the hair band and your scalp. Push the Topsy Tail down to the point where it stops because of the loop of the Topsy Tail.
4. Stick your fingers through the loop of the Topsy Tail from side closest to your scalp. Grasp your ponytail with your fingers and pull it back through the loop of the Topsy Tail.
5. Hold the ponytail so that it stays in the loop of the Topsy Tail, and as you hold it, pull the pointed end of the Topsy Tail straight down. This will pull the end of the ponytail down through the base of the ponytail. Pull it all the way through.
6. Spray your hair lightly with the hair spray. Place a hair bow over the twisted area of the ponytail to finish the hairstyle.
