Correct eyebrow shades should complement eye color and skin tone.
To achieve a subtle, darker look to the eyebrows, apply either tinted eyebrow gel or semi-permanent eyebrow dye. Both methods come in various shades and require color to be painted or applied to the eyebrow's root. When choosing a darker eyebrow color, individuals should make sure it is within two to three shades of their normal hair color.
Instructions
Tinted Eyebrow Gel
1. Paint tinted eyebrow gel on the eyebrow's roots. Try to get the color as close to the roots as possible using two to three strokes and without touching the skin.
2. Allow the tinted eyebrow gel to dry.
3. Apply a second coat of eyebrow gel if desired.
Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Dye
4. Cleanse the face with soap and water to remove makeup, dirt and excess oils. Pat face dry with a towel.
5. Apply petroleum jelly with a cotton swab around the outside of the eyebrows.
6. Apply the dye to the eyebrows using the applicator and mixing dish included in the semi-permanent eyebrow dye kit. Coat each eyebrow hair as close to the root as possible without touching the skin. Allow the dye to dry for 2 to 3 minutes.
7. Remove excess dye with a cotton swab soaked in warm water. Apply witch hazel on the eyebrows and flush the eyes with a saline solution.
