Straighten Hair Having A Cheap Straightener

It's true that many people cannot realistically go and buy an expensive, salon-grade flat iron to straighten their hair and get the best straightened look. A high-quality hair straightener will run you upwards of $100, but if you go to a department store, you will be able to find some that are in a much more reasonable price range and that still have a few of the features you need in a flat iron, such as a heat adjustment. You will still be able to effectively straighten your hair with the cheaper ones, but it helps a great deal to follow the proper procedure.

Instructions

1. Section your hair off, then blow dry it while gently combing with a wide paddle brush, and make sure you point your hair dryer downward while drying. This will prepare your hair for straightening by getting it in a smooth state.

2. Mist your hair with a heat protecting spray, and make sure you don't neglect any parts of your hair. The product will protect your hair from the damage that your low-cost straightener is more likely to inflict.

3. Divide your hair into sections again. Start by holding each section at the top with the wide-tooth comb, run it down to the end and immediately follow it with the flat iron. Do not linger too long while you run it down your hair, and stop straightening once the dampness from the protection spray is gone. You should only need to run the straightener through each section four times.

4. Bow dry your hair again with the cold setting on your hair dryer, and you don't need to divide it this time; just brush it with your paddle brush as you go. This will make your hair more resistant to frizzing.
