Although purchasing clip-on hair extensions can be very convenient, doing so can also get expensive after awhile. Instead, you could purchase all of the items necessary to attach hair extensions directly to a clip. Doing so can save you a good amount of money and the process isn't incredibly difficult. By attaching the hair extensions to the clip, you can also decide the length and texture of the hair. This lets you have more options when creating a hairstyle.
Instructions
1. Cut a piece of hair extension thread that is 2 feet long.
2. Pull the thread through the hair extension needle, stopping about halfway so that you have 1 foot of thread doubled on the needle.
3. Knot the thread at the end of the needle. This will help to secure the hair to the clip.
4. Place the hair extension snap clip on the track of the wefted human hair so that the teeth of the clip are on the outside. Place the clip on an end of the piece that you are working with. This will make it easier to snap into the hair once you are finished.
5. Stick the hair extension needle through one of the holes on the snap clip and pull the thread through the clip and through the wefted human hair.
6. Loop the thread back through the hole four more times to tighten the the thread. The last time that you loop it around, pull the needle through the thread before tightening it to create a knot and lock the clip into place. Then, cut the thread so that a quarter of an inch below the knot in the thread is left.
7. Continue this same sewing technique on the other holes of the clip to secure the clip completely.
8. Place another clip on the same weft of hair on the opposite end of the hair.
9. Sew the clip into place, repeating the same process.
