Making your shirt
1. Purchase stencils. Look for stencils that flex easily. Skulls, crossbones, and bleeding hearts are popular Emo graphics.
2. Wash and dry your t-shirt to remove any factory chemicals. Place your t-shirt around the ironing board and pull it tight. Secure the extra fabric underneath with a rubber band.
3. Place the stencil on the shirt in the position desired. Secure in place with masking tape. Use a fabric pencil to trace the outline. White is best on black shirts.
4. Carefully remove the masking tape and the stencil. Fill in the outlines with fabric paint colors of your choice. Use a thin amount at first. Too much may clump, and you can go back and add more later. Allow the paint to dry.
5. Spray the design with Scotchgard and allow it to dry. Spray on a second coat of Scotchgard. Allow it to dry. Your shirt is now ready to wear.
