Save time and money by making your own pre-cut ribbons to use for balloons. Pre-cut ribbon is sold through party supply companies. However, the price for pre-cut is higher than a standard roll which provides more ribbon. Take time to measure out the amount you need, and pre-cut your own ribbon for circumstances that require large amounts of ribbon to be used.
Instructions
1. Measure out the length of ribbon you want to cut. Manufactured pre-cut ribbon is cut in 4-foot strips.
2. Cut the ribbon at a 45-degree angle using sharp scissors that slice easily through the material. Cutting at an angle will give the ribbon a more decorative feel, and will help to avoid fraying on the ends of the ribbons.
3. Continue cutting until you have the amount of ribbons you need. Store ribbons by draping them over a pole or rail or using a clip to bunch them together, or hanging from a tall place, such as a ceiling hook.
