Recreating Snow White can illustrate the difference between a novice and a serious artist. Snow White is the Brothers Grimm tale -- and Disney film favorite -- about a princess evading her wicked stepmother and ending up living with seven dwarfs. The sweet demeanor and grace of Snow White is displayed in her simple attire and baby-like face. Any artist drawing a picture of her should take into consideration the gentleness she represents and the innocence of her very being.
Instructions
1. Draw a circle shape for the head and add the facial guidelines. Guidelines should be one vertical and two horizontal lines. Draw the puffy sleeves at shoulder level and the torso of the dress. Finish the outline of the picture by drawing the arms, hands and feet.
2. Sketch the roundness of her cheeks and add the mouth, nose and the beginnings of her eyes.
3. Draw the teardrop details for her sleeves and add depth to the arms and hands and neck. Add lines, creases and ruffles to the bottom of her dress.
4. Sketch the eyebrows, eyelashes, hair and hair bow. Add the high collar to the top of her dress and a vertical line down the center of the torso of the dress.
5. Draw the ribbon for her bow and draw her shoes as well as the remaining ruffles on the sleeves and bottom of her dress. Complete the eyes and erase the guidelines to finish the princess.
