Find The Correct Glasses For The Face Shape

So many people wear eye glasses. Determining which frames to buy should be based on your own coloring and face shape so you buy the proper frame style in the right color so you look your best.

Instructions

1. First, you look at your face in the mirror and determine your face size. Do you have a small face? Then a smaller frame would look best. A large face needs a large pair of glasses. Face and frame size should be in scale, in agreement. Small glasses on a large face or vice versa just looks silly.

2. Next, determine whether you are warm or cool. This will determine which frame colors to consider. Look at your skin undertones. Blue or pink is a cool complexion while yellow is warm. Not sure? Your natural hair color will help. Blond, black, golden brown, red are warm hair colors. Cool would be strawberry blond, blue-black, white, brown. Cool complexions look best with frames in the following colors: blue, pink, plum, magenta, tortoise, or black. For warm, try gold, copper, orange, coral, off-white, or bright red.

3. Finally, determine your face shape: oval, round, oblong, square, triangle, or upside-down triangle. The easiest way to determine which face shape you have is to grab a piece of soap and outline your face in the mirror. If you drew a circle, you have a round face and so on.

4. Oval: considered the ideal shape based on the balanced proportions. Lucky you! You can wear any frame style you want. Just be sure to pick a frame that is as wide or wider than the broadest part of your face.

5. Round: You will want glasses frames that make your face thinner and longer. Rectangular shaped frames would be best, as you want to add angles. Narrow frames will make your face look longer.

6. Oblong: You'll want to make your face appear more balanced and shorter. Avoid long and narrow, rectangular frames. Pick wide, square frames, low bridge, and depth from top to bottom.

7. Square: You'll want to soften all the angles so go for a delicate and narrow eyeglass frame. Oval shaped instead of round lenses.

8. Triangle: Narrow forehead with wider cheeks and chin. You want to shift the eyes up so pick frames that are wider on the top. Decorated frames work well as you might want to pick cat shape lenses.

9. Upside-down triangle: Counter your face. Frames that are wider on the bottom or rimless styles work best for this face shape. Also, stick to lighter colors.

10. Follow these steps and you'll look great in glasses!
