Have you ever seen a korker ribbon? Odds are, you have, even if you didn't know it. A Korker ribbon is just a ribbon that is permanently and tightly curled. You have probably seen korker ribbons on gifts, balloons, or hairbows. Make korker ribbons and use them to create beautiful hairbows.
Instructions
Making Korker Ribbons
1. Preheat your oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Use a clothespin to attach the end of a long piece of ribbon to one end of the dowel.
3. Twist the dowel with one hand while guiding the ribbon around the dowel with your other hand. Make sure the ribbon lies flat against the dowel and curls relatively evenly. Continue until you reach the end of the dowel.
4. Use another clothespin to attach the end of the ribbon to the end of the dowel.
5. Lie the dowels on the cookie sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
6. Remove the dowels from the oven. Let them cool. Then remove the ribbon from the dowel.
Making a Korker Bow
7. Gather together several ribbons and cut them to the same length.
8. Lie the elastic band on a flat surface, and place the ribbons on top of the band.
9. Tie the elastic band in a single knot around the ribbons.
10. Check to make sure that the ribbons are not too long on one end. If they are, pull the opposite end to even them out.
11. Tie the elastic band in a second knot to form a double knot.
12. Use the glue gun to attach the korker bow to the hair clip. Let the glue dry.
