Get Scene Hair

Scene or Scenic Hair - Pink

Scene Hair or Scenic Hair as some teen describe it - is different than EMO Hair.

Scenic hair is more upbeat and fun with lots of volume and give the ability to have a variety of styles and spiky shapes.

Scene colors are great and should be streaked in bold chunks and bright color.

Instructions

1. CUT: Ask stylist to cut lots of Choppy Layers on the top and allover. Instruct stylist to leave the bottom alone - you want it long. This will allow you to spike it and tease it. Use a good gel or hair putty for styling spikes into these top layers of scene hairstyle. Take along pictures of what you like! BIG pics not little pictures.

If you do not have long hair for the bottom layer then consider adding hair extensions.

2. BANGS: Ask for side sweep long bangs with layers. The Scene look is to have it cover the eyes, the bangs covering one eye as in the old Lauren Bacall days is also very popular. Scenic hair looks best with bangs.

3. COLOR: Ask stylist for all over base color of dark dark brown or black. Many alternatively have bleached a bright white blond. It is recommended to have this done professionally. The Scene look depends on contrasts and to be Scenic the base color of hair should be bold and beautiful.

Ask for color streaks. These you can do at home with less risk of damaging hair. The most popular are Bright Pink, Bright Red, and Bright Blue.

4. Now experiment with styles. Scenic Hair looks great spiked or just windblown. Spike it in different ways using your hair putty or gel. You may want a really good ceramic straightener as the look is usually done with straight hair.

Use props like big bows or hair jewelry. Headbands are becoming hot again as are clip in pieces of fabric or hair.
