Little girls like to dress up, and their hair is no different. They often don't have the patience to sit still for complex styling, but their hair does need to be kept out of their eyes. You can make toddler hair bows to add a bit of style while keeping their hair under control. The toddler years are when many girls finally start to get hair thick enough for pretty accessories, so make several to go with different outfits. The toddler will be thrilled and you will save money over purchasing ready-made bows.
Instructions
1. Choose 1/2- to 1-inch wide fabric ribbon and 1/4-inch wide ribbon in a different color or pattern.
2. Cut a 16-inch length of wide ribbon. Fold 6 inches of one end back onto the ribbon and repeat for the other side.
3. Cut a 3 to 4 inch length of the short ribbon. Tie tightly around the center of the large ribbon, keeping the knot in back.
4. Trim the ends of the narrow ribbon, close to the knot. Fluff the bow and arrange the tails.
5. Hot glue the bow to a toddler clip. Toddler clips fasten closed and are made for thinner hair. They are available in most hair care aisles.
