Create stylish hair bows for baby girls that will not break your budget.
If you want to add an accessory to your baby girl, then make your own bows for her delicate hair. It can become hard to find hair accessories for infant and toddler girls that will stay on their hair properly. In order to make your own hair bows, you will need to have a color and ribbon design in mind to suit your tastes. Once you make the bows, you can continue to customize them to match her outfits.
Instructions
1. Sew the two pieces of Velcro together on one side, using a needle and thread.
2. Form the ribbon into a bow. Make a simple bow in the same fashion as tying your shoes. Pull tightly to secure the knot in the center, and adjust the loops on the bow to your desired shape and size. Trim off any excess ribbon.
3. Place the ribbon on the Velcro. Sew through the center of the bow with 2 to 3 stitches to keep it in place on the top half of the Velcro. Do not stitch completely through the Velcro.
4. Add embellishments to the bow. You can use fabric glue to add rhinestones or flowers.
5. Allow the glue to dry. Attach the bow by placing your baby girl's fine hair in between the Velcro pieces and then sealing them.
