Corkscrew ribbon makes the perfect hair decoration for girls because it is fun and comes in a large variety of colors and patterns. A white and pink ribbon combination would look cute for a wedding, while holiday colors add festivity to any hairstyle. Corkscrew ribbon bows are also perfect for cheerleading squads because you can customize them to show school spirit.
Instructions
1. Cut your corkscrew ribbon into three-inch sections. You will need at least 30 pieces.
2. Lay a piece of elastic cord, about 10 inches long, on a flat, hard surface.
3. Stack the corkscrew ribbon into a pile, laying them perpendicularly across the elastic cord.
4. Tie the elastic around the ribbons and pull it tightly, drawing all the ribbons together into a round shape.
5. Make sure the ribbons are even on both sides, and gently pull them if they need to be adjusted.
6. Wrap the elastic around the other direction, and double knot it.
7. Cut the extra elastic cord, and put a drop of hot glue on the center where the elastic meets the ribbon to keep it secure.
8. Put a drop of hot glue on your hair clip, and press the back of the bow into the glue until it has hardened.
