Use Minnie Mouse, half of the iconic and lovable Disney duo of Mickey and Minnie, as inspiration for your daughter's birthday party, baby shower or bedroom theme. Tap into your creativity to fashion homemade Minnie Mouse headbands for party guests to wear, or make just one headband for your daughter to wear while watching her favorite Disney shows or movies.
Instructions
1. Draw two 3-inch-diameter circles on a piece of paper using a compass. Space the circles an inch apart. Draw straight lines 2 inches apart from one another, connecting the two circles. Cut out this ear pattern with scissors.
2. Trace the paper ear pattern twice onto black felt with tailor's chalk. Cut out the two felt pieces with scissors.
3. Measure and cut an 8-inch-long piece of 1/2-inch-wide pink ribbon. Fold the ends of the ribbon in to the center so they overlap 1/4 inch. Secure the overlapping ends with a dot of hot glue.
4. Measure and cut a 1.5-inch-long piece of 1/2-inch-wide pink ribbon.
5. Pinch the center of the ribbon loop where the overlapping ends are to gather the center of the bow. Wrap the pink ribbon around the center of the bow and secure the overlapping ends with a dot of hot glue.
6. Attach the pink bow to the center of the top of the headband with a dot of hot glue.
7. Wrap the felt ear shapes around the band so the circles come together on the top with one ear on each side of the pink bow. Glue the circles together with hot glue, and use some hot glue to secure the ears to the top of the headband to hold them in place.
