Hair bows add an adorable touch to any style.
If you want to use cute bows in your child's hair, there are a few different options available. Even though there are a wide variety of cute bows available for purchase in boutiques and online, they really aren't that difficult to make and only require a few simple supplies. Making the bows yourself at home will allow you to save money as well as customize the bow to have the color or pattern of your choice.
Instructions
1. Cut an 8-inch long strip of 1.5-inch wide decorative ribbon using a pair of scissors.
2. Tie the ribbon into a bow. Use your fingers to pull the tails of the bow to be of equal length.
3. Push a threaded needle up through the bottom of the center of the bow. Return the needle to the other side again by pushing the needle through the top of the center, then again through the bottom of the center. Repeat until the bow is secure, then knot the thread and cut the needle away with scissors.
4. Use your fingers to fluff the ribbon on the bow.
5. Apply a dollop of hot glue to the center of the bow and press a small craft jewel over it. Allow to dry.
6. Apply a line of hot glue down the top of a metal hair clip. Place the bow over the glue and press down with a wooden dowel to avoid burning your hand.
