Instructions
1. Heat the flat iron. Unless your hairstylist has instructed you otherwise, set the heat on "high."
2. Brush your hair thoroughly. This hairstyle works best on hair that is clean and tangle-free.
3. Straighten your hair. Using the plain flat iron plates, remove all waves from your hair. It should be as straight as possible.
4. Insert the heart plates into the flat iron. Be careful since the plain plates will be very hot.
5. Let the heart plates heat for 10 minutes. You may wish to do your other makeup or get dressed while you wait.
6. Pull a section of hair straight out from your head. Make sure that you are not pulling forward but only outward. If you press the hair while it is out of alignment with its roots, the heart pattern will not show up. It will just look crimped.
7. Press the heart pattern into the hair. Hold the flat iron in place for a count of 20.
8. Unclasp the flat iron. Do not pull it through the hair.
9. Allow the hair to fall back into place. You should see a heart pattern in the hair that you just pressed.
