You can wear a necklace and earrings to complement your hippie bohemian Grecian goddess dress.
Marie Claire advises, "Go barefoot and tap into your inner pagan with the latest flirty, fluid goddess dresses." A goddess dress is a timeless classic that can take you many places in style. This adaptable dress will enhance any body shape, as well as camouflage many body flaws. It's absolutely amazing how simple of a creation it is and its versatility is limited only by your choice of accessories.
Instructions
1. Obtain a bohemian brooch, such as a star-shaped garnet or ruby cluster, or multicolored stones in a butterfly shape. You can also choose a daisy-shaped hippie brooch with enameled outer petals, metal inner petals, and a metal or pearl center.
2. Obtain a hippie or bohemian style belt. Choose wide leather with an uneven rectangular buckle. Decide on a second-hand, worn, gold-paint-over-leather, or possibly even a belt with wooden beads. A thin suede cord to wind around your waist numerous times in crisscross fashion and tie in a small bow could work, as well.
3. Obtain a standard, 81-inch-by-96-inch, full-size sheet in your choice of fabric, color, and pattern. Fold the sheet in half, breadth-wise, to create an 81-inch-by-48-inch fabric of double-thickness..
4. Hold the folded fabric, with the fold running along the top. Position the middle of the 81-inch wide fabric under your right arm. Pull the front and back of the sheet snug to the top of your left shoulder. Ignore the fact that the left side of your dress is hanging open for the moment.
5. Secure the front and back pieces of fabric together with your chosen brooch above your left shoulder. Leave approximately 20-inches, depending upon your size, hanging open off your left shoulder. Allow the extra fabric to fall in folds to the front and back, as it may.
6. Take the far left, open edge of the 40½-inches of fabric in the front of the dress in your hand at waist level and pull it around your body, underneath the back of the dress. Stop or end the fabric at the middle of your right side. Allow the extra fabric to fold and gather around your waist. Wrap the fabric from the back of the dress around your left side, across the front, and stop again at the middle of your right side. Put your chosen belt on your waist, adjust the folds of extra fabric evenly, and slightly blouse the fabric above the belt.
7. Complete your hippie bohemian Grecian goddess dress with a headband to complement your brooch and belt. Choose your color of thin suede cord to braid. Work a strand of pearls into the braid, if you desire. Tack on a feather, running along the length of the headband, for a nice touch in the autumn.Or braid some ribbon and work in the stems of artificial flowers.
